Summertime Memories with MAJECK Photography
We love a good Summer Session in Colorado Springs! Technically anywhere really, considering I am a traveling photographer and spend a lot of my summer sessions in Texas and Florida and from time to time internationally. 2022 has been full of amazing Colorado Summer Sessions and I had to share!
About this Summer…..
I had an amazing family surprise me with a booking, I hadn’t known they were expecting again and boom they booked a Maternity Session! Of course I was so excited for them, as I truly believe a new bundle should always be celebrated. I have been photographing this Family since their youngest daughter was 2 months old, and this year they surprised me with a BUMP! When I suggest spots I base it on where your family is going to be most comfortable. With this family because kiddos ranged from 3 to 12 I knew we needed a place without drop offs that the kids could spread out and explore. I knew of the perfect spot in Colorado Springs that would give us gorgeous views and a chance for the kids to play. That’s exactly where we went.
What to expect with a Summer Family Session?
I make it easy! We set up a place, time and day that works best for you and your littles. We send you a contract and questionnaire so that you can tell me about yourself, your family and what you are expecting from these photos. Things like color combos, outfit inspirations, poses you may like and dislike – along with kids favorite songs and more. I like to know if there are any nicknames or things that may make your littles smile and I like to know what things they don’t like so no one gets upset. It’s all about you guys. I like to go off of the family so never worry about your littles being tired, or not wanting to take photos, I PROMISE we will get the shots of your dreams.
Never worry we won’t get the best shots, I promise, we’ll get them all!
I never like to rush a session, or get upset because your sweet little loves just aren’t feeling it. I will get on the ground, roll around in dirt, splash in water, blow bubbles and make all the crazy noises to make sure we get the goods. Mama, you’ll never have to worry about not feeling beautiful because I promise you – you are – and if you come in thinking you’re not, you’re gonna leave feeling like a powerful freaking goddess. I promise you that! Here at MAJECK we embrace all the crazy, kick all those doubts in the butt because we are all about loving ourselves here!
When do you recommend we do our photos?
I’m a sucker for Golden light, big clouds, and no heat. For that reason, I like to suggest an hour or two before sunset – but the thing is that this is all dependent on when and where we capture those pictures. So, timing is decided based on the location we choose. This session started at about 630 and lasted a little over an hour with our walking time. But the opportunity to run and play made it amazing!
I especially love the opportunity to spread out when we have older kids because then their personalities get a chance to shine. Laughing, faces, jumping and twirling – watching these siblings enjoy the summer and beautiful Colorado Springs scenery was amazing.
What is the Pricing of a Summer Family Session?
We have a few different options depending on your budget and how many photos you are wanting to get. We have 2 packages that can be booked at any time.
*Embrace Magic-$500/per hour.
Perfect for the adventurers and extended family or just those who love pictures and can never choose. Family’s start by receiving the MAJECK Client Guide which helps with location selection and outfits. This session includes all edited digital images from your session (at least 45 images).
*Capture Magic- $350/per hour.
This portrait session includes up to an hour of session time for up to 8 people. Designed to move around one chosen location (or your home) and let kids have fun and relax – these are all about capturing the magic that flows within your family! Up to an hour of session time, a client guide, outfit support (and access to the client closet), and an online viewing gallery of digital images with a code for 15 downloads!
